With a voice that comes straight from the heart, Rosanna Mendez writes songs of love and the human condition as viewed thru a slightly flawed lens.
Her music is real, raw and beautiful.

Rosanna splits her time between Sydney, Australia and Austin, Texas, where she recorded her first record ‘Personal Effects’.
This record was produced by local legend Tommy Hill and received high accolades from US Radio and Press.

Rosanna started writing songs and performing from the age of twelve. Upon leaving high school she was offered a place at NIDA (the National Institute of Dramatic Art). At this time she also started off on the hard road of rock n roll, forming bands and singing in pubs and clubs around Sydney. Castle Music, a national music publisher at that time, contracted Rosanna as an in-house lyric writer.

After following this path for a number of years, Rosanna relocated to Austin, Texas with its stunningly vibrant live music scene. After playing around Austin for a short while, Rosanna picked up U.S. representation in Bruce Newlin Management and publishing with Tres Hombres Publishing.

Her first album, titled Personal Effects, was produced by legendary local producer Tommy Hill. Tommy assembled a great lineup of local musicians to help out with the recording, including Mark Harris on bass and John Inmon on guitar, both of who have played with the A-list of Texas and Nashville artists.
Personal Effects received high accolades from US radio and press.
Rosanna spent the next few years playing around Austin with the likes of  Caroline Wonderland and  Shelley King. She has also had her songs recorded by other artists such as  Rebecca Folsom.

Since returning to Sydney, Rosanna has relased two more albums, both with Sean Carey producing.

Her most recent album is Mood Swings.
